Thank you for your interest in our SAT/ACT Diagnostic Comparison test. We designed this test for two purposes:
1. To help students determine whether they’re better suited to the SAT or ACT
And
2. To help identify students’ areas of weakness across a number of skills and concepts commonly tested on the SAT and ACT, so they can more effectively target those weaknesses in test prep.
If you’re just starting out in the test prep process, and you want to know which test you should prep for and what kinds of skills and concepts you’ll need to focus on most, then this is the test for you.
About the Test
Our SAT/ACT diagnostic test is comprised of all of the multiple choice sections of both tests: SAT Reading, Writing and Language, Math (no calculator), and Math (calculator allowed), as well as ACT English, Math, Reading, and Science. THERE IS NO ESSAY SECTION on this diagnostic test.
We also shortened each section so as to make the test more manageable for students, and we alternated SAT and ACT sections so as to ensure that students’ results weren’t artificially skewed in favor of one test or the other. So our test begins with an ACT English section, followed by an SAT Reading section, and then back to ACT Math. We alternate thusly between ACT and SAT sections throughout the entire test.
The questions on this test are representative of the most commonly tested skills and concepts on both the SAT and the ACT, which ensures incredible accuracy in our assessment of whether a student is better suited to the SAT or ACT and in our diagnosis of a student’s major areas of weakness.
