Was your PSAT cancelled this year? Come take a practice PSAT with us on Saturday, October 17th!
Unfortunately, a number of high schools have cancelled the October PSAT for their students. Some parents worry that this means they will not know their child’s base line testing score*. If your school has decided to cancel the PSAT this year, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered!
On Saturday, October 17th, First Choice Prep and Admit U will be hosting a PSAT practice test at the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, NJ. Students will take a simulated practice PSAT under timed conditions. We’ll score each student’s test and send you the results so students will know where they stand and what they’ll need to work on to improve their performance. The administrative cost is $30 per student, and we are limiting registration to the first 100 students.
We’ve taken every precaution to ensure that the testing center is completely Covid-safe. Temperatures will be checked at the door, students will be seated more than 6ft apart, and masks will be worn at all times by all participants and staff. The test will be held in a very large indoor space (3,354 sq. ft.), so staff and students will have no trouble distancing themselves from one another. On top of all that, testing has proven to be one of the safest indoor activities (no contact/no talking). This summer and fall, hundreds of thousands of students have taken the SAT or ACT indoors, and there has not been even one reported case of Covid-19 transmission in one of these testing centers.

* At most schools – in most years – the PSAT is administered to both sophomores and juniors to help give students in both classes a sense of their baseline scores and potential academic weaknesses they can work to improve.
